The First Annual Children’s Festival is sponsoring a food drive as part of the event. Canned goods and non perishables will be collected by an Edgewater based 501c3 charitable organization, For Such a Time as This. The organization works closely with Jefferson High School to provide food and assistance to homeless students and families in the greater Edgewater area.

For Such a Time as This will be manning a booth at the Festival collecting goods. Other Edgewater based nonprofit organizations will share the booth. Please consider bringing goods to the Festival for local students and families. Non perishables includes dry food goods as well as toilet paper, laundry products, as associated daily household needs.

Let’s make the Festival not only a fun adventure for families and children but also a community charitable effort assisting those facing tough times.
