The past five years has seen dining options increase by 55 percent in the city of Edgewater. It is doubtful such an increase has been experienced in such a small area anywhere in Colorado. And excitingly, more is on the way! Two trends have emerged.
First, new restaurants have moved into new buildings along Sheridan, which take advantage of easy access off Sheridan but also great views to Sloan’s Lake and downtown Denver. Several of these restaurants are further taking advantage of establishing outdoor seating areas—a more uncommon feature for Edgewater restaurants in the past. A person now driving Sheridan witnesses outdoor area after outdoor area. Edgewater may soon be know as the “Paris of Jefferson County” before long!
The other trend involves W. 25th Avenue, where several new restaurants have also opened. The trend along W. 25th exudes old town storefronts and the accompanying ambience. W. 25th is Edgewater’s historic main street. Walking W. 25th is like walking back in time.
The variety of food is breathtaking. There are three Asian restaurants, three Mexican, five Grills, nine Fast Food, and two Coffee outlets. Within the restaurant types you’ll find Vietnamese, Thai, Fish and Chips, Pizza and Italian, and all and any grilling possible! In the near future, a new children’s oriented restaurant named the Village will open at Fenton and W. 25th.
